Royal Inland Hospital (RIH), located in Kamloops, B.C., has an immediate Term Specific, part-time (0.80 FTE) Certified Orthotist opening.

In this role, you'll design and fit orthoses that enhance our clients' functionality and quality of life. Your responsibilities will include assessing clients' needs, designing and selecting suitable orthoses, and making necessary adjustments. You'll also evaluate existing orthoses and recommend repairs or replacements as needed. This unique position offers the successful Certified Orthotist an opportunity to work with complex orthotic cases including spinal, pediatrics, trauma, neuro and post-surgical procedures.

As our Certified Orthotist, you'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, other healthcare providers, and suppliers, ensuring our clients receive the best care possible. You'll also play a key role in promoting our orthotic services and staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the orthotics field. Administrative duties will also be part of your role, including supervising and providing work direction to Orthotic staff.

Qualfications
Completion of recognized Orthotics Program and two years' recent experience in a rehabilitation health care setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Certification in Orthotics from the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists (CBCPO) and eligible for membership in the Canadian Association for Prosthetics and Orthotics (CAPO).
