The successful applicant will work in compliance with all relevant and applicable legislation and Hospital Policies and Procedures, will practice the Bluewater Health Standards of Performance Excellence and will fulfill their role within the Attendance Support Program parameters. The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

-Grade 12 graduate or equivalent required
-College Diploma in Medical Office Administration preferred
-Beginner level proficiency using the MS Office Suite of products required
-Accurate computer keyboarding skills required
-Knowledge of Medical Terminology required
-Previous clerical experience in a medical setting preferred
-Recent experience as a Ward Clerk preferred
-Recent patient registration experience preferred
-Experience with processing doctor's orders preferred
-Completes reception and clerical tasks applicable to the needs of the department
-Registers and requisitions patients for multiple departments within Bluewater Health, CEEH
-Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
-Completes continuing education requirements as necessary
-Other related duties as assigned
