Your Opportunity

Our Sarnia is looking for a Manager to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Review non-assurance engagements for private clients to ensure that relevant professional standards and Firm policies are followed
  • Effectively plan, supervise and execute non-assurance engagements
  • Supervising (and completing when necessary) the preparation of working paper files, financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns
  • Develop a portfolio of new clients and business opportunities with existing clients opportunities on an on-going basis
  • Address Client issues in a timely manner, following BDO Policy and using your strong technical skills and accounting experience
  • Apply appropriate industry/business knowledge in anticipating, identifying and addressing issues relevant to the client's business

Your experience and education

  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the public accounting industry, with at least 1+ years at the management level
  • Completion of your CPA is preferred, but not required
  • Related experience and good working knowledge in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), and QuickBooks Online
  • Act as a leader in the Firm, continually focused on employee engagement
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
