Provide technical skilled support and guidance to site operations via specialized maintenance services on a timely basis./pp/ppbShift schedule: /b12 hours, Continental shift (Monthly rotation, days and nights)/pp/ppbWhat will you do?/b/ppRepair, rebuild, refurbish machinery and equipment utilizing milling machines, lathes and all machine shop hand tools by performing the following tasks:/pulliPerform general maintenance on production equipment such as: Fluid Bed Dryers, Film Coaters, Tablet Presses, Transfer Pumps, Vacuum Systems, Processing Vessels and auxiliary equipment./liliMaintain production equipment, auxiliary equipment and building maintenance, including operator training on equipment set up and operation./liliArrange with Group Leaders and Production Supervisors to schedule equipment down time for maintenance within the Preventative Maintenance program timeframes./liliSchedule equipment availability to perform preventative maintenance on time, maintain accurate records according to Good Manufacturing Practice requirements./liliParticipate in Operational meetings, Rapids, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and other as required./liliDocument applicable work activities performed within a CMMS Program/liliMaintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards./liliPerform alternating or rotating shift work as well as requirement to work during maintenance shutdowns./li/ulp/pp/ppbHow will you get here?/b/ppbEducation:/b/pulliHigh school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required College/liliLicensed to practice as Industrial Millwright required/liliCertified Ontario Trades Person/li/ulp/ppbExperience:/b/pulliMinimum 3 years industrial mechanic or equivalent maintenance experience, preferably in food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical industries./lili1 - 3 years millwright experience, preferred./liliExperience reading drawing and schematics./liliMaximo CMMS program experience preferred./li/ulp/ppbEquivalency:/b/ppEquivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered./ppbKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:/b/ppFamiliarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)/ppRegulations. Proactive and organized approach to completing tasks timely and efficiently. Attention to detail and quality of work. Ability to deal confidently with inside and outside clients. Good working knowledge of electronics and pneumatics is desirable. Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Proficiency with the English Language./ppbStandards and Expectations:/b/ppFollow all Environmental Health Safety Policies and Procedures. Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems in order to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.). Be client and patient conscious at all times. Understand Key Performance Indicators and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving. Models positive thinking and is open to change, motivating the team to adapt to shifts in priorities and new ways of working. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution of procedures. Communicate risks to timelines of deliverables in a proactive manner. Consistently strives to improve skills and knowledge in related field./ppbPhysical Requirements:/b/ppPosition requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing/office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, loud noise, bright lights, fumes or odour.
