Main responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from trucks, containers or other vehicles following safety procedures and ensuring proper product handling.
- Warehousing: Place materials and products in designated warehouse locations taking into account specific storage requirements and ensuring optimal space organization.
- Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts, participate in physical inventories and maintain accurate records of inventory movements to ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
- Compliance with safety standards: Respect and promote safety procedures in force, particularly regarding the use of handling equipment, handling of loads and circulation in the warehouse.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on forklifts and other material handling equipment, report faults or problems and make small repairs as necessary.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with logistics, shipping and receiving teams to ensure effective coordination of material handling operations.
Required Skills :
- Knowledge of material handling safety standards, a strong asset.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, pick lists and product labels.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads safely and properly.
