Aecon is looking for a workface planner to support our ongoing and upcoming Industrial work in Alberta. We are looking for someone who is detailed oriented, technical and a team player. What you'll do here: Develop specific installation work packages (FIWP) Preparing required project discipline FIWPs, which includes determining required activities, resources, special conditions, quality control, and risk planning. Acts as a liaison between project controls and workforce supervision. Responsible to ensure all necessary resources are available prior to releasing a FIWP and monitoring control of the FIWP. Determine possible obstacles, work with Supervision and Engineering to mitigate found issues. Implement the Construction Execution Plan. Ensure intended safety requirements are properly conveyed to workforce supervision. Who are you? Relevant combination of education and experience 5 years experience working on construction sites an asset. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, data visualization and working with 3D modeling software. iConstruct experience an asset. Have an understanding of project scheduling and estimating techniques. Have knowledge of health, safety, and environmental programs. Know general construction and materials systems and procedures. Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills and a high degree of accuracy and impeccable attention to detail. Highly developed interpersonal skills. Demonstrate a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment. Superior written and verbal communication skills including the ability to converse with technical professionals as well as operations end users.
