We are a very well established construction company in the lower mainland area of Vancouver Regional District. We specialises in the framing and carpentery work and work for building new homes, renovate the existing ones. We work in residential and commerical sectors and work on town homes and condo projects.
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic personality for the position of "Carpenter/Framer Supervisor" on full time equivalent basis. The person should have long term extensive relevant experience as a construction supervisor specilizes in framing and carpentry work. We prefer contractor and self employment profile for this job position. Applicants with more than 5 years of experience would be given preference.
The person should be able to perform the following job duties and responsibilities;
1. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of carpenters who construct, renovate and maintain structures of wood and other building materials and build and install interior finishing in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
2. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with the site manager.
3. Requisition materials and supplies.
4. Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.
5. Train or arrange for training of workers.
6. Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions.
7. Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed.
8. Prepare schedules and other reports. May manage the operations of company. Able to supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and labourers.
The person should have some high school education. The preference will be given to those applicants who holds some technical construction trade related education /diploma.
We pay wages $30.00 per hour.
