Position Summary: The Workshop Controller (Dispatcher) is pivotal in the smooth and efficient delegation, processing, and management of ROs flowing in and out of the Shop. This role is responsible for controlling & leading workshop efficiency by making the best use of the resources and people in order to ensure a high level of productivity. The Workshop Controller has a direct impact on customer satisfaction and departmental profitability based on shop production. The Workshop Controller is instrumental in delivering the Ultimate Customer Experience. Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Responsibility for the efficient running of the Shop workflow and ensure efficient productivity. Work with shop foreman and shop lead to ensure proper RO designation and support to ensure repair accuracy and efficiency Prioritizing and dispatch ROs to the appropriate technician/apprentice based on skill and work mix to maximize technician time efficiently Maintain progress information of each job allocated and liaise with Service to ensure customers are kept informed Monitor all workshop orders through the Parts department and keep ahead of outstanding work and parts on order Maximize shop performance and production to achieve monthly sales target and hit bonus levels. Pre-arrange Saturday technician work order to ensure all parts are ordered in advance. Assist and advise team members in dealing with technical and job related problems Maintain high levels of customer service including dealing with customer complaints Support sales team with urgent repair request from Sales Reconditioning Manager. Additional duties as assigned by management Job Specifications: Excellent leadership and people skills Superior organizational and time management skills Experience working with a luxury brand and commitment to delivering quality work Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, with strong attention to detail The ability to motivate staff Great communication skills and strong customer service skills Solid knowledge of BMW technology, Product, Service operations, warranty, etc. Experience in a high volume luxury dealership Experience leading a team of Technicians (ideally within a luxury brand) Demonstrated team player Proactive and willing to take initiative Be flexible and open to change; take on special tasks as needed Valid Driver's License with a driver’s abstract Software Skills: BMW Extranet, S Gate MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Reynolds & Reynolds MPI How to Apply Please apply by submitting your cover letter and resume.
