Nature du travail Le rôle principal et habituel de la personne salariée de cette classe d'emplois consiste à aider l'élève handicapé dans sa participation aux activités reliées à sa scolarisation. Elle assiste l'élève dans ses déplacements, voit à son bien-être, à son hygiène et à sa sécurité conformément aux instructions reçues dans le cadre d'un plan d'intervention. Attributions caractéristiques La personne salariée de cette classe d'emplois aide l'élève dans ses déplacements; elle guide son fauteuil roulant, elle l'aide en le changeant de posture et, selon les besoins, à le transférer de fauteuil. Pour son mieux-être, elle l'aide à boire et à manger lors des collations et des repas et, au besoin, elle réchauffe les aliments; elle l'aide à s'habiller et à se déshabiller. Elle voit à son hygiène; elle l'aide à se laver, elle l'aide aux cabinets d'aisance; Elle soutient le personnel enseignant en l'aidant à communiquer des notions de base concernant la propreté, la façon de s'habiller, de boire et de manger. Scolarité ou certificat de qualification Être titulaire d'un diplôme d'études professionnelles en assistance à la personne en établissement de santé ou un diplôme de 5e année du secondaire ou être titulaire d'un diplôme ou d'une attestation d'études dont l'équivalence est reconnue par l'autorité compétente, et avoir une (1) année d'expérience pertinente ayant permis d'acquérir une discipline personnelle, des notions générales de psychologie et des aptitudes sur le plan des relations humaines.
