Location: Remote (Montreal, Toronto, Waterloo)


2 Positions - 1 Bilingual (French/English) & 1 English Speaking

Freelancing opportunity approx. 10-20 hours per week

We're looking for an energetic, talented communicator who can tell good stories to join our family. Ideally you have some experience with creative design, and know how to problem-solve in a fast-paced production environment. You would be joining the Sponsor-Specific Client Engagement marketing team, creating meaningful, personalized Group Retirement Services (GRS) communications designed to educate and engage our Clients

Must Have Skills:

  • 5+ years experience in progressive copywriting and editing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Wrike, Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Knowledge of pension and financial services industry
  • Bilingual (French/English)

Nice To Have Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in Journalism, Marketing Communications or English
  • Knowledge of email coding and automation
  • Experience in InDesign

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, engaging plain language marketing copy, for digital, mobile and print
  • Make light edits to templates in Word and InDesign to create a personalized communication for specific plan sponsors
  • Execute complex B2C-style communication campaigns, end-to-end (from content creation to deployment, largely by email)
  • Create digital and print tactics to achieve campaign objectives. Examples: a booklet informing of an update to investment lineup, a flyer promoting financial literacy or an email encouraging increasing contributions every pay
  • Use Wrike (a project management tool that combines a creative brief and workback schedule) to execute your project on time, interact with stakeholders and keep track of progress
  • Collaborate with internal teams (such as Client Relationship Executives, Member Education Consultants and Implementation Project Managers) and external plan sponsors/consultants
  • Work with Graphic Designers and Member Experience Consultants to brainstorm and develop innovative design concepts that reflect the desired strategy and brand personality
