As a result of continued growth, Constant Home Comfort Hamilton Inc. has an opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join our team in Windsor Ontario location.

Primary Job Duties:
• Ensure purchase orders are prepared, approved and transmitted in a timely manner, in accordance with Constant Home Comfort’s policy
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the company’s purchasing activities of an establishment
• Analyze market trends and research new products and suppliers, develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget
• Evaluate, and approve the ordering of necessary goods and services; finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Supervision staff purchasing activities in accordance with company policies and best practice
• Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies, discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships in the home energy industry
• Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
• Participate in the development of specifications for Constant Home Comfort’s equipment, products or substitute materials
• Visit suppliers' factories in Canada for quality assurance and product development meetings
• Review and process claims against suppliers; perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
• Model behaviours that embody the organization’s core values and support its success in ensuring operations excellence through effective leadership, teamwork, collaboration, and communication
Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required
• 5+ years experience working in procurement or supply management, preferably in the energy and electronics sectors in a multinational company
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, competitive bidding, general contract terms and conditions
• in-depth industry knowledge of electric instruments and components supply and procurement preferred
• Great writing skills with the ability to review documents and make recommendations for revisions
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with all key stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills; exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
