Main functions: 
What will you do in this role?
• Manage and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, shift scheduling, and providing performance feedback.
• Ensure that food quality and safety standards are met, including monitoring food temperatures and maintaining proper food storage.
• Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed, including food, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues during service, including addressing customer concerns and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their experience.
• Monitor and manage restaurant expenses, including labour, food, and other operational costs, and adjust as needed to ensure profitability.
• Ensure that restaurant equipment is properly maintained and serviced, including regular cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, and other restaurant appliances.
• Implement marketing strategies to increase restaurant sales and profitability, including promotional events, special offers, and other marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with other restaurant staff and management to develop new menu items and specials to ensure restaurant operations run smoothly.
• Enforce restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, employee conduct standards, and customer service policies.

Details: 
Completion of a college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or a related discipline, or 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.

Qualifications required: 
• Completion of a college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or a related discipline, or 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.
• A valid food handler's certificate is required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, service techniques, and health and safety regulations is essential.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills are necessary to manage restaurant staff effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required to interact with customers, staff, and management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are needed to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with different POS terminal systems, familiar with Microsoft Office and other computer software programs.
• Experience managing and working with various online food delivery platforms.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry heavy items.
