Pharmacy Technician
Position Summary Do you have your Pharmacy Technician certificate and registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia? The Cariboo Memorial Hospital located in Williams Lake, B.C. is currently seeking a relief part time (0.50FTE) Pharmacy Technician. Effective April 1, 2024, hourly rate of pay is $34.18 per hour. What will you work on? As a registered Pharmacy Technician, you will operate in accordance with the competency guidelines and the scope of practice and standards of practice as outlined by the College of Pharmacists of B.C., and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols. Some Typical Duties and Responsibilities: ? Processes medication orders that are clinically reviewed for therapeutic appropriateness and approved by a Pharmacist. ? Receives verbal and non-verbal prescriptions from practitioners and ensures that prescriptions are complete and authentic. ? Prepares, processes and compounds prescriptions. ? Ensures the accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions prepared by self or others by verifying order entries and/or performing the final check of dispensed prescriptions. ? Processes prescriptions for temporary inpatient leaves of absence. ? Transfers prescriptions to and receives prescriptions from other pharmacies. ? Enters and ensures the accuracy and completeness of drug and personal health information in the Pharmacy information system. ? Maintains stock levels and performs clerical duties as assigned. Sign off on drawings and changes as required and within authorized limits; maintains current copies of drawings, plans, manuals, proposals, etc. for assigned projects. Files and/or archives completed project materials in accordance with departmental protocols. Participate in and provides input on consultant selection and project tendering; administers contracts and oversees performance to ensure that consultants and contractors complete on obligations and deliverables, and that corresponding payments are processed. Arranges for procurement of furniture and minor equipment required to implement projects. Liaise with Planning and Engineering Departments of municipalities in geographic areas supported by the Organizations to obtain building and other required permits for assigned projects. Coordinate and/or advise on potential impacts of work activities affecting site operations. Arranges scheduled shutdown of systems, power interruptions, etc. based on operational requirements. Être titulaire d'un document datant d'au plus trois (3) ans, attestant la réussite : 1. soit d'un cours de secourisme général d'une durée minimale de huit (8) heures; 2. soit d'un cours d'appoint d'une durée minimale de six (6) heures visant la mise à jour des connaissances acquises dans le cadre du cours mentionné au paragraphe 1o.
