Under general supervision, the Mechanic will be responsible for carrying out skilled journeyman level work. Work involves preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation/dismantling of systems and projects within the trade, and troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairs of construction equipment. Location: Milton, Ontario Key Responsibilities Ensure all Workplace Safety, Environmental Policies and Regulations are being adhered to. Read diagrams/schematics and manufacturers repair manuals for work procedures. Maintain and service a fleet of trucks and trailers. Maintain and service a fleet of construction equipment. Able to perform services on electrical, hydraulic, power train, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery parts in a safe manner. Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment. Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and equipment. Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including computer connection/diagnosis with machine to identify fault codes. Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced, or apprentice maintenance personnel. Performing hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment. Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubles. Making repairs per the manufacturers specifications. Utilize computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes. Suggest positive changes to policy and procedures as required. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Maintain excellent customer relations. Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns. Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment. Knowledge and Experience Valid G license required; a valid DZ license is considered an asset. Truck and Coach Service License (310T) required. RRT - Respiratory Therapist
Areas of responsibility include ICU E/S 27 ICU bed providing specialized care to the neurosciences, trauma, medical, vascular, and surgical patient populations; ICU W 14 bed CV surgical unit; CCU 16, Regional Burn Unit; HIU and Emergency. In addition to supporting these specialized units the Respiratory Therapy department addresses the respiratory needs of patients throughout the General site. Select members of the Respiratory Therapy department in collaboration with the physician operate the Hyperbaric Unit meeting both scheduled and emergent hyperbaric needs. Select members of the Respiratory Therapy department partner with physicians and RN's as members of the site RACE team. The RRT is also a key member of the Code Blue team. The Respiratory Therapy department utilizes a multidisciplinary and collaborative team approach dedicated to the principles of patient-and family-centered care. |

Nurse Practitioner
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) for the General Pediatrics - Complex Care Service at McMaster Children's Hospital is dually accountable to the Director of the Child and Youth Acute Care Program and the Chief of Interprofessional Practice. The NP will function with the five domains of the role identified by the Canadian Nurses Association's APN Framework. These domains consist of clinical practice, research, leadership, consultation and collaboration with education. The NP will provide leadership and promote excellence in pediatric family centered nursing care through expert clinical practice, education, consultation and research. The NP supports the clinical activity of the General Pediatrician - Complex Care and the associated patient care and interventions through the Ambulatory service including off site affiliated satellite clinics in LHIN 3 & 4. This would include the areas of the pediatric emergency department, inpatients and the outpatient clinics. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team members, and using a patient and family centered model of care, the NP is responsible to: Provide direct patient care to their full scope of practice, coordination of care, discharge planning, and the coordination of related community and other resources for this patient population; mentor nursing and other health professional students as appropriate, and participate in continuing education activities to integrate the role of the NP in the program and academic settings; initiate, participate, and/or lead programs, presentations, publications, evaluations, research initiatives and other system changes to continue the enhancement of Interprofessional care teams. Geomatics Coordinator
Who We Are? ONxpress Transportation Partners (ONxpress) were chosen by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to enter the Development Phase of the On-Corridor Works project the largest project in Metrolinxs GO Expansion. Unprecedented in its scale and complexity, this multi-billion-dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification, more frequent service, shorter journey times and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. What is the Opportunity? ONxpress Civil Contractors Joint Venture (CJV) is looking for a Geomatics Coordinator. What youll do here: Process and interpret survey data related to geodetic control network under Project Manager direction. Review survey field returns for completeness and correct procedures. Perform calculations and adjustments including traverses, levelling, and static observations under Project Manager direction. Use standard survey practices and information gathered from the field and office to draft control sketches plans. Survey calculation for engineering layout such as piles, anchor bolts, foundation, grading based on client supplied IFC drawings. Create alignments and corridors as per client supplied IFC drawings. Prepare stakeout, pre-pour, and as-built reports per scope of work. Work with team members to ensure that the quality and accuracy of all plans meet standards before they are delivered for checking. Generate topographic surfaces and perform volume calculations from processed data. Processing of remotely sensed data (3D laser scanning, photogrammetry, lidar data). Support field crews when performing control surveys. What You Bring to the Team: Post-secondary education in a Survey/Geomatics, Civil Engineering program, or related discipline; or certification in a related CAD/GIS course Minimum of 2 years of relevant construction survey. Proficient in survey processing software Trimble Business Centre (TBC) Proficient with Civil 3D. Proficient with Microsurvey Startnet. Proficient with Leica Infinity. Strong communication skills both orally and in writing. An understanding of the basic principles of surveying, survey plan requirements, and construction surveying deliverables Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
