CT/IR Technologist
Position Summary Interior Health is seeking an experienced Computed Tomography/Interventional Radiology Technologist to join Shuswap Lake General Hospital's Medical Imaging Department. This position is a relief part time (0.74 FTE) until the return of incumbent. This position will work rotating evenings (4 on, 4 off), with the shift times being 15:30 to 23:30, 12:00 to 20:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:30 to 16:30. What Will You Work On? Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, and under the direction of a Radiologist, performs special procedures such as computer tomography (CT), and/or interventional, as designated. Assists the Radiologists during procedure, inputs patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and provides direction regarding procedures to student technologists and staff trainees. RRT - Respiratory Therapist
Areas of responsibility include ICU E/S 27 ICU bed providing specialized care to the neurosciences, trauma, medical, vascular, and surgical patient populations; ICU W 14 bed CV surgical unit; CCU 16, Regional Burn Unit; HIU and Emergency. In addition to supporting these specialized units the Respiratory Therapy department addresses the respiratory needs of patients throughout the General site. Select members of the Respiratory Therapy department in collaboration with the physician operate the Hyperbaric Unit meeting both scheduled and emergent hyperbaric needs. Select members of the Respiratory Therapy department partner with physicians and RN's as members of the site RACE team. The RRT is also a key member of the Code Blue team. The Respiratory Therapy department utilizes a multidisciplinary and collaborative team approach dedicated to the principles of patient-and family-centered care. |

Nurse Practitioner
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) for the General Pediatrics - Complex Care Service at McMaster Children's Hospital is dually accountable to the Director of the Child and Youth Acute Care Program and the Chief of Interprofessional Practice. The NP will function with the five domains of the role identified by the Canadian Nurses Association's APN Framework. These domains consist of clinical practice, research, leadership, consultation and collaboration with education. The NP will provide leadership and promote excellence in pediatric family centered nursing care through expert clinical practice, education, consultation and research. The NP supports the clinical activity of the General Pediatrician - Complex Care and the associated patient care and interventions through the Ambulatory service including off site affiliated satellite clinics in LHIN 3 & 4. This would include the areas of the pediatric emergency department, inpatients and the outpatient clinics. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team members, and using a patient and family centered model of care, the NP is responsible to: Provide direct patient care to their full scope of practice, coordination of care, discharge planning, and the coordination of related community and other resources for this patient population; mentor nursing and other health professional students as appropriate, and participate in continuing education activities to integrate the role of the NP in the program and academic settings; initiate, participate, and/or lead programs, presentations, publications, evaluations, research initiatives and other system changes to continue the enhancement of Interprofessional care teams. Graphics Developer Part of the graphics product team the responsibilities vary from maintaining and augmenting the graphics subsystem (Window system, Display controllers and GPU drivers) on both native and virtualized systems. Job Duties Develop/maintain QNX Graphics subsystem (Display, GPU, Window system, font engine). Develop/maintain 2D and 3D graphics drivers for a wide range of GPU's Reading technical register documentation and schematics Create and document software specifications and designs that address the needs of QNX customers. Unit test and debug implementations on all relevant target architectures for the project (ex. ARM and X86). Identify, analyze, and resolve potentially complex problems and inadequacies in software. Provide project estimates for requirements, design, implementation, and test efforts. Maintain an in-depth understanding of current software department approaches and standards through communication with development team members, technical leads, and management. Integration of QNX Hypervisor and Android onto embedded hardware platforms Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent. driver development experience in C A high degree of expertise in 2D and 3D graphics A thorough understanding of Operating System concepts (virtual memory, multithreading etc.) Specialized Skills: Familiarity with OpenGL/OpenGL ES/Vulkan Working knowledge of development host operating systems (Windows NT/XP/2k, QNX, Linux). Prior experience in developing for embedded systems is an asset. Understanding of major processor architectures (ARM, x86, etc.) is an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Programming experience in a POSIX environment Familiarity with the QNX Neutrino RTOS Assembly language programming experience on ARM, and x86 platforms Work closely with QNX customers and 3rd party HW 2D/3D vendors.
