Responsibilties:
- Check to ensure completeness of drawings, specifications and engineering guidelines for projects.
- Review and analyze specifications, drawings, sketches, ideas and related data.
- Develop detailed shop and erection drawings including Anchor Bolt layouts using Tekla Structures and other CAD software in accordance to the "Detailing Standard Manual”, CISC Code of Standard Practice, Provincial Code, in a timely manner noted in project budget hours with minimum supervision.
- Ensuring completion of detailing requirements outlined within each project’s scope as specified.
- Initiate and preparing RFI’s (Request For Information).
- Recommend improvement opportunities in the use of detailing technology and work methods.
- Assist in the training and further development of other Detailers.
Skills requirements:
- Completion of a college program in engineering design and drafting technology or in a related field
- Minimum five years experience in structural steel detailing using Tekla Structures
- Minimum one year canadian experience in structural steel detailing
- Very good knowledge of Tekla Structures in modeling, detailing, drawing and reports production
- Canadian Work Permit
