Principales fonctions:  Description Aluminum Curtainwall Systems Inc. (ACS) is a progressive company dealing internationally with suppliers and clients. We are a growing company searching for employees that will add to our team. ACS has been established since 2000 and provides design services for all standard and custom applications. ACS Inc. has successfully completed several highly custom projects in Western Canada and currently providing this type of work across North America. These projects have included high-rise and multi-story Curtainwall facades, custom overhead glazing systems, entrance systems and sunshades. Aluminum Curtainwall Systems is currently seeking an Assistant Purchasing Agent to work in our Production Department. Duties and Responsibilities Starting Responsibilities: • Track, follow up, and expedite purchase orders (if required) • Logistics/warehousing; maintain an ongoing awareness of inventory levels. • Assisting with receiving, incoming material quality control and inventory control. • Keeping records (i.e. compiling and categorizing all purchase orders and material releases for each job; maintain supplier key performance index.) • Bridging the information gap between supplier and internal customers. Future Responsibilities: • Issue purchase orders • Identify & verify material and service needs identified by the Engineering Department. • Select vendors based on: price, manufacturer, quality of service, delivery time etc. in accordance with the Marketing team’s vendor list outline. • Determine purchasing parameters (i.e. Scope of order, agreed price, delivery time, quantity.) • Settling supplier invoices. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Post-Secondary courses in purchasing or supply management would be considered an asset. • Minimum 1 to 2-year experience in warehouse or construction purchasing • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • Experience in Timberline Software would be considered an asset. • Knowledgeable in basic mathematic skills • Good time management and team work skills • Many of our suppliers are located in Asia, so a second language would be an asset.
