Job duties:
• Led a team of workers and train future employees in melting ferro alloys in an induction furnace; key alloys include Ferro Titanium and Ferro Zirconium
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities in respect of operating furnace and related equipment and machinery
• Establish work schedules and procedures for workers in the foregoing capacity
• Recommend work measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Set up machines and equipment
• Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies in operating furnace and job duties
• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
• Actively engaging in making recommendations and participation in staffing issues such as hiring personnel
• Prepare production and other reports,
• Conduct reviews, prepare reports, and communicate data to management regarding operations of furnace and worker activities
• Monitor usage of and place orders for parts, materials and supplies

Requirements:

-Education: Completion of high school is required
-Experience: 10 years of experience in metal manufacturing, specific to melting Ferro Alloys, especially Ferro Titanium and Ferro Zirconium is required.
- In depth experience with induction furnaces and operating machinery and equipment; extensive experience with handling zirconium is required
- Relevant prior training or post-secondary education in metallurgy, sciences or a related field are assets

Important information: extensive experience and handling with highly flammable metals including zirconium is required.

Salary: $34.00 to $36.00, 44.00 -60.00 Hours per week. Overtime is involved
