HOUSEKEEPER with vehicle
- Tuesday to Saturday (Sometime Monday to Friday if desired.)
Our client is seeking an experienced housekeeper for an executive style household located in Montreal Westmount AND Eastern Townships.
The position is full-time, live out, schedule being Tuesday to Saturday from 9 or 10am to 5 or 6pm. At least two days per week, the successful hire shall work out of the home in the Eastern Townships.
Reporting directly to the Madame of the home, applicants should be flexible with schedules and MUST be comfortable with SMALL DOG and have previous experience in a private semi-formal or formal style residence.
Applicants shall ideally own a vehicle and able to drive themselves to the Madame’s home in the Eastern Townships. Driving time shall be compensated.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills to maintain standards of the residence including regular schedule of deep clean and special projects. Applicants should be comfortable in the kitchen to assist with prep work and daily table settings for family service. Applicants should be comfortable with school age children.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Keep all areas of the home, tidy and clean.
• Daily housekeeping including washing, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sweeping.
• Conduct regular deep clean projects to maintain the care of fine finishes and furnishings.
• Wardrobe care and laundry including ironing for linens & family members.
• Organizing and maintaining of closets & cupboards & fridge& freezer.
• Assist with daily meal-prep for family meals.
• Manage weekly trash & recycle programs.
OTHER TASKS:
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using appropriate vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware.
APPLICANT QUALITIES:
• Must have previous experience working in a semi-formal style of private residence.
• Excellent housekeeping skills.
• Product knowledge and methods for care of fine furnishings & surfaces.
• Applicants must be service oriented, friendly with good communication skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task with excellent time time-management.
• Applicants must be self-starters with attention to detail for follow through of projects.
• Must exercise complete discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
