Job Description:
• Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs
• Plan and carry out recreational activities
• Attend to clients with special needs
• Enforce safety rules and regulations
• Understand principles of group dynamics
• Schedule activities
• Provide lifestyle awareness information
• Ensure safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes
• Assist with special events
• Collecting entry fees
• Daily cash reconciliation
• Supervision of patrons
• Help with sophisticated maintenance duties of pool equipment and filtration systems
• Assist to check daily chemical balance
• Assist with the weekly submission of water samples to the provincial lab for inspection
• Opening and closing duties
• Prepare reports
• Train and supervise staff
• Keep logs and maintain records
Requirements
- Education: Completion of high school
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in recreation is required. In the event the candidate does not have 2 years of experience, then a post-secondary certificate in recreation or physical education is required.
Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 Hourly, 40.00 Hours per week
