Our valued Public sector client is in need of a Senior Information Technology Security Methodology, Policy and Procedures Analyst to develop IT Security standards, procedures and guidelines pursuant to the requirements of Government of Canada

The client is responsible for managing national parks, national historic sites, national marine conservation areas, and a national urban park. These natural and cultural heritage icons - and the staff that make up the team - are located from coast to coast to coast, in areas that are often remote and challenging operating environments.

The client depends on effective and secure digital technology services to deliver its mandate. Along with the rest of the Government of Canada (GC), the client is evolving its workplace technology to reflect an enterprise approach to managing information, data, technology and security. The client's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is responsible for providing national leadership for the information management and information technology services for the Agency. In addition, infrastructure investments will be made to find cost effective solutions to improve connectivity for remote regions.

?The OCIO continues to focus efforts to support the Agency's priorities and business lines. The CIO is working closely with Shared Services Canada to ensure that the Agency's underlying infrastructure is continuously improved to support modern workforce enabling tools. The Agency is also looking to cloud solution providers to implement flexible solutions

We are looking for someone with the following, but not limited to, experience:
  • 15 years of experience as an Information Technology Security Methodology, Policy and Procedures Analyst in an IT environment.
  • 5 years of experience developing IT Security policy instruments (policy, directive, standard, operating procedure, or guideline) within a federal Government of Canada department, agency or Crown Corporation.
  • A valid certification, degree, or a diploma in the IT Security field.
  • 5 projects of developing policies, operating procedures, standards, or guidelines that encompass IT security considerations and requirements
  • 5 projects of authoring IT Security training material and/or communiques to increase IT Security awareness.
