JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Citizen Relations' Director, the incumbent works closely with the various stakeholders to develop harmonious ties with the community. The incumbent actively participates in citizen consultation and participation activities to establish conditions favorable to the social acceptability of QPA projects. Main responsibilities include:

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Participate in the development and implementation of community relations planning;
  • Ensure the logistics of consultation events, ideation workshops or citizen tables;
  • Maintain the stakeholder management tool to document team interactions;
  • Update the Je participe citizen participation platform;
  • Plan, implement and monitor the progress of citizen committees under his/her responsibility;
  • Establish a proactive approach with the port community to implement promising structuring actions;
  • Research and prepare documents to support committee decision-making;
  • Layout the newsletter and notices of work sent to the community;
  • Ensure a rigorous follow-up of the register of reports and make the necessary follow-ups between the various internal and external players to promote the identification of corrective measures;
  • Contribute to the implementation and execution of projects such as corporate videos, Web capsules and tours aligned with the citizen and community relations strategy and adapted to all types of audiences.

  • Able to manage several projects simultaneously.

 

YOU HAVE...

  • Bachelor's degree in public communications, social innovation or relevant discipline;
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a comparable role;
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French;
  • A good sense of public affairs and excellent critical judgment.

Additional assets...

  • Good knowledge of the economic, social, and environmental context of the greater Quebec City area;
  • Knowledge of consulting aboriginal communities.
