Working in the McMaster Children's Hospital Extensive Needs/Mi Care Program, the Behaviour Therapist will develop and provide behaviour reduction treatment services and supports to children and youth (up to age 18) , and their families. Services may be provided in groups, as well as individually. Parent training and workshops will be an integral component of the services. The Behaviour Therapist will work as a member of an integrated service delivery team within the Ron Joyce Children's Health Centre. As a result, the Behaviour Therapist may be expected to continue treatment for individuals who are referred across programs e.g. Urgent Response Service to Extensive Needs/Mi Care Program.
The Behavior Therapist will also be involved in program development, implementation, evaluation, and consultation with community providers.
