Summary of Duties:

To provide patient care within the scope of practice of your profession; which supports the philosophy of the Nursing Department and meets hospital and College of Nurses standards.

Collaborates effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Active participation in process improvement and educational activities.
Qualifications/Skills:
-
Current certificate or competence as an R.P.N. with the College of Nurses with Medication Certificate.

Minimum two years' medical-surgical experience required, preferably in orthopaedic and Complex medical care nursing.

Excellent Organizational Skills.

Able to work effectively as a team member in association with the R.N.

Current BCLS certificate.

Membership in R.P.N.A.O an asset.

Physical Assessment Course required.

Commitment to person centred care concepts principles along with demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team

Excellent interpersonal and team collaborative skills.
