Job Description:
• Set up and conduct a program for wildlife management with different types of equipment and strategies
• Conduct field research and surveys to collect data in the field
• Analyze data and prepare reports
• Conduct or supervise operational programs
• Conduct environmental monitoring programs
• Management of employees on site (it includes hiring, training, employee’s evaluation, modification of the employment conditions – under direction’s approval)
• In charge of the follow-up of the equipment
• In charge of the follow-up of the trained birds once they are on the site
• In charge of the follow-up with the client
• In charge of providing the client with operations support, example: health and security training of BFI operators, truck drivers
• Walk or drive to the construction site with heavy equipment nearby

Requirements:
-Education: Completion of a two- to three-year college program in a field related to biology, microbiology, wildlife or resource management
-Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience
-Must have the ability to work independently
-Must possess skills to work with wildlife and trained animals
-Practice falconry, in particular know and make big falcons fly such as Gerfaut Falcons
-Master and use safe pyrotechnic discharge, use a Helikite
-Must have good management and leadership skills (perseverance, maturity, good judgment and decision taking)
-Must know the Apple environment and software like Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Filemaker
-Must have the ability to lift heavy loads (until 50lbs)
-Must have good and resistant physical conditions (weather conditions can go from +40 degrees in summer with a lot of dust to -30 degrees in winter)

Salary: $25.00 to $26.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week

Important Information:
Position requires flexible schedule. Morning shifts: 5:00am-1:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm; afternoon shifts: 11:00am-7:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm. Shifts will depend on species’ occupation on-site and on the period of the year. Work hours can change within 48 hours.
The position requires working outside next to waste and compactors; it requires working with trained birds of prey and using firearms.
