Covert Security is looking for Alarm System Manager to join our team as a full time and permanent position in Burnaby.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the clients
• Prepare for installations by reviewing installation orders; gathering equipment, supplies, and tools; coordinating schedules with customers
• Plan installations by surveying and evaluating location, identifying installation requirements, laying-out equipment, wiring plan and time required to complete the job.
• Attend service call. Verify the system functions properly by testing equipment, connections, and signals. Diagnose and locate correct problems and equipment faults
• Read blue prints, shop drawings, schematics and installation manual.
• Learn new products and train subordinate technicians
• Train end users on system functionality.
• Complete work orders, test and service reports.
• Maintain records of installations.
• Supervise other electronic equipment service technicians. Visit their site and solve technical problems
• Install, maintain, program and test DSC, HAI and other alarm panel
• Install, maintain, program and test the Lutron and Leviton light control system.
• Install and maintain access control systems
• Good knowledge/experience in audio visual, home theater systems, remote control systems, TV/projector installation, BGM and Network control BGM Systems.
• Good knowledge of swing gate, sliding gate, gate barrier and overhead sectional door control systems
• Install, maintain and test both analog and IP based CCTV system
• Install and maintain, Audio Video intercom and tele-doorbell systems
• Must be computer literate to configure modem, routers, access point, CMS software, wireless network configuration etc.
• Work with various OS, Android and Window phones to configure various APPs of DVR, lighting and music systems
• Experience in TV, Network and telephone cables and Plates termination and labelling.
• Install and maintain Central Vacuum system
• Experienced in prewire, rough-in, structured wiring
• Analyze the repeated problems and give feedback to parent company
• Maintain secure work environment by following safe practices; keep security information confidential.
• Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Support sales with system design and site surveys.
• Work on a rotating on-call schedule with other technicians.


Qualifications:

• 2 to 3 year diploma in electronics
• At least 5 year experience in field of electronics field
• Experience with installation, service and troubleshooting of home/business intrusion alarm systems
• Basic security systems hand tools, laptop and own car.
• Basic computer skills.
• Our Alarm Technician will be resourceful, thoughtful, insightful, honest and reliable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• English, Hindi and Punjabi language is as an asset.
• Must be bondable and undergo a basic security clearance.
• Valid class 5 Driver's License.
• Current and valid BC security alarm installer license.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally

$ 26.00 per hour
