Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Artificial Intelligence for Neuroscience Department: Physical Sciences, Sunnybrook Research Institute Location: Sunnybrook Health Science Centre 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario PIs: Dr. Maged Goubran & Dr. Sandra Black Our Artificial Intelligence and Computational Neurosciences (AICONS) Lab at the University of Toronto and Black Centre for Brain Resilience & Recovery, Sunnybrook Research Institute are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to lead development of novel AI algorithms for the analysis and modeling of MRI and (light-sheet) microscopy data. Our work combines technical and translational research, focusing on the development of novel AI and computational tools to probe, predict and understand neuronal and vascular circuit alterations, and model brain pathology in neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. The successful candidate will join a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of researchers who specialize in the development and application of computational tools and AI for neuroscience. The candidate will be expected to work independently and as a team member with investigators, clinicians, staff (software developers, research assistants and technicians), other postdocs, and graduate/undergraduate students. This will be performed in collaboration with our internal and external international collaborators (in USA, Switzerland, and Germany), including neurologists, radiologists, surgeons, psychologists, physicists, and computer scientists. This position is in support of CIHR-funded projects to study early structural and functional network dysfunction in neurological disorders. The position requires working closely with the PIs Dr. Goubran (expertise in computational neuroscience, AI, and neuroimaging), Dr. Black (internationally recognized expert in neurology, small vessel disease, and cognition) and with graduate students, imaging analysts and software developers in the lab. The fellow will develop AI algorithms for multimodal image analysis, connectomics, and prediction of cognitive decline using large multi-site clinical imaging studies and trials (with thousands of subjects) in collaboration with teams at McGill, Stanford, Harvard, and Wisconsin universities. We encourage new approaches and ideas, as well as independent projects that align with current studies. Our team also leads the computational and neuroimaging analyses for several cutting-edge trials at the Harquail centre for Neuromodulation at Sunnybrook, including those focused on Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and refractory psychiatric disorders. Our institute houses state-of-the-art imaging (MRI and microscopy) facilities and advanced compute infrastructure. There will be opportunities to contribute to many publications and present at/attend international conferences and workshops. NDT Level 3
Job Summary The NDT level III position is primarily accountable for ensuring that all aluminum cast products are NDT inspected in accordance with customer specifications and within corporate and aerospace quality standard. The level III position has technical responsibility and authority for Penetrant Testing and Radiography Testing including the certification of all qualified NDT personnel (Level I and II) for our operations in Laval and Georgetown. Tasks include Ensuring that all cast products are NDT inspected in accordance with customer's requirements and corporate quality standards. Ensuring all NDT personnel execute work instructions and activities to full compliance Ensuring that NDT personnel has the correct material, tools, and equipment to effectively accomplish their work activities and schedules. Verifying that all NDT tools and equipment are calibrated and approved for on-going production use Acting as lead process owner for NDT operations for implementation and correction of NDT procedures and methods. Identifying poor quality production issues and initiates corrective actions (internal and external activities). Encouraging NDT personnel feedback on all NDT production issues which create improvement opportunities regarding product flow, throughput, and quality. Providing guidance with NDT personnel on job specific tasks required. In accordance with NAS-410, ensuring that all NDT personnel receive appropriate training and examinations, and acquire adequate experience to successfully be certified and able do their work. Acting as NDT technical liaison with customers and corporate. Stimulating a continuous improvement environment. Influencing employees to voluntarily contribute to improvement efforts to provide their internal customer with cast product or NDT processes/methods that adequately meet external customer requirements and specifications. Actively participating in problem solving, cost reduction, and waste reduction. Ensuring that all equipment and materials used meet customer requirements and corporate quality standards and expectations. Conducts numerous audits (internal and external) to ensure that customer specifications are met. Auditing and surveying on-going NDT production operations, processes, and personnel for adequacy and compliancy within production scheduling constraints and quality standards Auditing the performance of Level I's and Level II's and takes part in the preparation and execution of their reviews Qualifications High School or equivalent can be accepted Level 2 with 5 years or more and or Level 3. Level III Can / CGSB-48.9712 Radiographic Interpretation. Minimum of 5 years' experience in NDT methods and manufacturing environment. Aluminum casting experience will be an asset Must be capable of accurate interpretation of gauge and/or scale readings Must possess good mathematical skills including fractions/decimals Good understanding of origin of metallurgical defects Good interpretation of defects on castings Knowledgeable of NDT equipment Self-motivated Well-organized Tolerance to stress Ability to maintain constant attention during critical steps of the individuals job requirements Must exercise very good judgment Must possess a good degree of manual dexterity Coaches and develops others Must be bilingual (English and French) Demonstrates superior communication skills - written and oral Must have good computer skills |

Rôles et responsabilités : Élaborer et préparer des dessins d'ingénierie à partir de concepts préliminaires, de plans, de calculs, de devis et autres données à partir du logiciel Solid Edge ; Vérifier les dessins afin qu'ils soient conformes aux cahiers de charges et aux normes applicables ; S'assurer que les normes et techniques en matière de production de plans et dessins sont respectées ; Modifier et corriger les dessins selon les spécifications et requêtes des chargés de projets.
