Aecon is currently seeking a Traffic Manager to join the Aecon team. The Traffic Manager will design and coordinate traffic requirements during construction and minimize the impact on traffic operations and temporary designs. What Youll Do Here: Responsible for all traffic and transportation design aspects of the project, including design, coordination, and preparation of the Traffic and Transit Management Plan and associated subplans, and interface with stakeholders and government authorities. Coordinate internal and external regulatory approval process, and manage relationships and lead the coordination and schedule meetings with stakeholders, including governmental authorities. Assists in design and engineering of temporary works for transit department. Liaise with the urban leadership, ministries, and construction staff, as needed. Create traffic solutions based on requirements in the project agreement. Work closely with supervisors, in monitoring traffic and transit operations and bring issues to a resolution. Recommend changes in signal phasing and timing, pavement markings and signage to the staff as needed. Work proactively to ensure that plans are in place to transition to the next phase in terms of detours, signage, pavement markings, signals and PVMS installations. Prepares traffic control plans using Rapid Plan Software and CADD. Participates in preparation of Traffic and Transit Management Plans (TTMP). What You Bring to the Team: Minimum of CET or Engineering in Training (EIT) designation or equivalent working experience. P. Eng is an asset. Minimum of 10 years of traffic experience, with at least 4 years of supervisory experience. Valid class G driver license required. Knowledge of OTM Book 7 an asset. Knowledge of Rapid Plan Software and AutoCAD is an asset. Bentley MicroStation knowledge desirable. Logical approach to trouble shooting and problem solving. Excellent oral and written skills. Excellent time and Project Management skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Position description: A day in the life View Transcript As an Outside Sales Trainee you will enroll in our 12 month sales training program. During training you will travel to the United States for company paid training 1-2 weeks a month. When you are not attending training, you will work with a Sales Mentor as both an observer and participant.
