United Supermarket is seeking a Department Manager to help oversee the efficiency of daily work in the Home+ goods departments and ensure customer satisfaction. Behind the scenes, the Department Manager will oversee retail operations within the department, including inventory and visual merchandising; be actively involved with building our team and providing them with the guidance and training necessary to provide exceptional service.

Detailed description: 
- Planning and implementing strategies to attract customers and increase sales;
- Monitor progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives;
- Monitor inventory including instore and e-shop;
- Monitor shelf allotment and shelf tagging and ensure the products are placed in right place with appropriate labels;
- Planning promotional activities to increase sales within the department;
- Research emerging home products and use information to update the department’s merchandise;
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers domestically and internationally;
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning;
- Handle and resolve escalated customer complaints within the department;
- Schedule team leads and regular hourly personnel;
- Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs;
