Our client is in need of an Experienced Sales Representative to personally contact and secure new business accounts/customers, across the USA and Canada. The successful candidate will achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration by effectively selling the company’s imported items related to bedding such as: mattresses, bed sheets and covers, pillow cases, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Key activities and accountabilities
• Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment in the USA and Canada, generating new business.
• Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
• Must be able to travel on a regular basis, estimated to be 100 days per year, all expenses paid.
• Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
• Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
Market understanding and Expertise
• Keeps abreast of product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
• Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization.
• Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment
Sales and Relationships
• Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
• Identify advantages and compare organization’s products
• Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Resourceful, work on research; independent thinker
• Experience in dealing with manufacture/wholesale buyers.
• Resourceful – able to find and reach out to manufacture/wholesaler decision makers
• Established network of American and Canadian manufacture/wholesalers would be a great asset.

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3 years Sales or Business Development Experience.
• Proven sales results
• Established network of manufacture/wholesale companies selling bedding products would be an asset
